The City of Oneonta is proud to be undergoing a renovation of our Parks & Recreational services. As part of that plan, we will update the Historic Oneonta Depot and the promenade surrounding it. We would like to invite you to be a permanent part of that vision, by purchasing an engraved brick with your name or business name prominently displayed. Our parks, and particularly the Depot, are an important component of Oneonta. Be a part of one of the most iconic representations of our city, The Depot, with a brick displaying your gift to the revitalization of this beloved structure.
Starting in 1889, the Louisville and Nashville Railroad began railroad freight and passenger service to Oneonta. The L&N Railroad depot was located in downtown Oneonta behind the Garner Hotel. In 1975, the depot was moved from the downtown area to the present location and since has been used as a meeting site for various functions.
We are excited to begin this renovation and look forward to many more years of use!
